Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Exhibition: Comprehensive Technical Report

　　The Beijing Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition, jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, the Welding Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, the China Welding Association, the Welding Equipment Branch of the China Welding Association, the German Welding Society, and the Essen Exhibition Company of Germany, and co-organized by the American Welding Society, the Japan Welding Society, and the Korea Welding Industry Association, is one of the two largest welding exhibitions in the world.
　　The 18th Beijing Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition was successfully held in Shanghai from June 18 to 21, 2013. 　　The first part is the "Exhibition Overview." This exhibition had 1019 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, including 208 international exhibitors. The total exhibition area was 96,200 square meters, and the net exhibition area was 48,303 square meters (equivalent to 5367 standard booths). The four-day exhibition attracted 46,406 visitors from 51 countries and regions. The report presents detailed statistics on the 18th Beijing Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition from the aspects of exhibitor analysis, visitor analysis, supporting industry and academic activities, and exhibition promotion.
　　The second part is the "Exhibition Technical Report," which is divided into three parts: welding equipment, welding materials, and cutting tools. In the welding equipment section, it first introduces the characteristic welding robot equipment and process technology at the exhibition. Domestic large CNC cutting machine manufacturers have focused on the professionalization of cutting, the integrated diversification of functions, and cross-industry system solutions, breaking the situation of simple product competition in the cutting industry. Many small and medium-sized cutting machine manufacturers focus on the simplicity and specialized functions of the equipment according to their own characteristics. The report focuses on the introduction of new cutting technologies exhibited, detailed introduction of the main exhibits of cutting equipment manufacturing enterprises and the application of cutting technology in various industries, and points out the existing problems and future development direction.
　　The third part is the "Industry Comprehensive Anthology." The report includes the forum content of IFWT2013, "Promoting the Progress of Welding Manufacturing with Wisdom." Fifteen guests from industry associations, manufacturing enterprises, and research institutions analyzed and discussed the future development of automation and intelligence in current welding manufacturing from the aspects of equipment, processes, materials, and system collaboration.
